Emergency Shelter – Almost Home

At Family Promise, we value your generosity of time, talent, and treasure. You (or your group) can support us in the following ways:

Wishlist Collections – Organize supply drives at your church, school or neighborhood or just pickup extra for us on your next trip to Walmart.  We have a constant need for donations of hygiene products, supplies, and food for our pantry. We keep out wish list up to date on our website.

Monetary Donations – By making a financial gift to Family Promise, you can support our shelter, Almost Home; be a lifeline to prevent families facing eviction; and creating stability in their lives. DONATE HERE

Volunteer at our Resource Center  Our Resource Center is a bustling hub of activity where people in need can come to meet with advocates, get out of the elements, do laundry, shower, and obtain the food and supplies that they need for their family. We always need volunteers to organize donations, assist with cleaning, work at the reception desk, and support clients in various ways. Contact Maddy to become involved.

Volunteer at Almost Home Shelter – You can support the residents by assisting with childcare when needed, tutoring children, cleaning, and various projects.  Contact Melody to become involved.

Prepare Meals for Almost Home Shelter – The families at Almost Home Shelter rely on volunteers from the community to provide them with dinner each day. This can be done in many ways: bring a hot prepared meal, bring supplies and a recipe for residents to prepare, bring casseroles or other freezer meals, etc. Bringing dinner can be a great opportunity to interact with the residents over dinner and hear their stories! Sign up HERE.

Furniture – Family Promise provides furniture to families moving from Almost Home Shelter into homes of their own, and also to other families in need. You can help by donating your old furniture that is still in good condition. We also are looking for volunteers who can help move or transport furniture for our families. Contact Maddy to donate.

Represent Family Promise in the Community – We are often asked to set up a booth or table at a fair or activity in the community, and you can help by volunteering to staff the table, pass out information we provide, and talk to people about this amazing organization. Contact Heather to become involved.
