VOLUNTEER
Family Promise was founded by volunteers and operates at 1/3 the cost of traditional homeless shelters due to the tremendous support of volunteers. The backbone of Family Promise are our volunteers! Volunteers of all ages and skills are welcome in our Resource Center and at our overnight shelter, Almost Home.
These are our top needs:
- Prepare meals for our families experiencing homelessness and living in our shelter, Almost Home. Volunteers prepare “family style” meals for up to six families. Sign up and learn more HERE.
- Childcare during our groups. Around 2 hours of time with our sweet kiddos while their parents are in group.
- Deliver furniture. One of the best parts of moving into your own home after being homeless, is the furniture! We need help delivering furniture to our families’ new homes.
- Volunteer in our Resource Center – answer phones, help out in the food pantry, work one-on-one with families and so much more!
- If you want to help, we will find something you will love at Family Promise!
Contact Maddy for more information on joining us in our work to end and prevent homelessness.
