Welcome to the Board

Family Promise is pleased to welcome three additions to the Family Promise Board of Directors.  Cathy Fowler, Levi Lucas and Jeff Lee will be joining board members Tim Campbell, Larry Champion, AnnaMarie Fallon, Mike Hartley, Jay Horn, Sharon Merchant, Lesley Rhoden, Chase Slaughter, Erin Tanner, Jeanelle VerWayne, and Andre Webb.

Cathy Fowler

I have been a nurse for 24 years and enjoy working with people. We moved to Hendricks County 2 years ago and absolutely love the area and the people here. I work at Hendricks Regional Health in outpatient surgery. I am originally from South Carolina and attended Clemson University. I am almost always happy and try to find the positive in every situation.

I feel like volunteering is a great way to get involved in a community and really get to know the wonderful people that feel as passionate as I do about helping others.

Levi Lucas

Levi Lucas is a lifelong resident of Hendricks County, having lived in Danville, Avon, and now Plainfield. Levi is a 2014 graduate of Avon High School, having previously attended Heron Arts High School. He was a pre-professional ballet dancer at the Indianapolis School of Ballet and continues to volunteer for the Danville Children’s Ballet.

While still a college student, Levi works at Abstract and Title of Avon as a shipping coordinator. He is a member of Fairfield Friends Meeting where he has served as Clerk of the Young Friends and volunteers for Family Promise when Fairfield hosts.

When asked why he wanted to be active in Family Promise, he stated “I love this community and I know that it has many, many great people and together we can do great things. Hendricks County has a problem with situational homelessness and, through volunteering for Family Promise at my church, I have realized that Family Promise is the best way to combat that problem by helping families in their time of need to get back on their feet.  I’m very proud to be part of this great organization.”

Jeff Lee

Jeff currently leads teams in support of IT applications at Eli Lilly and Company. He is also a lead ambassador between Eli Lilly and the United Way coordinating work through teams in a half dozen local organizations. He has a long history of working with people in need through various organizations and ministering as a lead pastor while in Lafayette. He looks forward to getting behind the mission of Family Promise to eliminate homelessness one family at a time.
